New applicants will be evaluated by the SA Stands Coalition monthly. If applications are approved, we’ll proceed with scheduling a one-on-one call to discuss the coalition policy goals and different levels of commitment. Below are our two different types of membership:
Core Members:
Core members are tasked with designing strategy, campaign planning and execution, to work collaboratively to advance local policy efforts for the protection of our communities. Core members are not just organizations, but can be highly committed individual members too.
Allies:
Organizations or individuals who cannot commit as core members can join as “Allies” and will participate in monthly meetings, action alerts, or campaign requests. A designated representative from the ally group will be responsible for attending all core meetings and keep communication between allies and core group members. This representative is responsible for keeping allies informed about the current work that the coalition is doing.
****Elected officials, their staff, or candidates running for office, CANNOT be a member of SA Stands or attend our internal/planning meetings, but they may request an individual meeting with the coalition to get educated on immigration issues by contacting us here.****
